Packaging Design

Excerpts from a proposal document for the product packaging of both a candle and a set of safety-pins. For this university task I invented the fictional sewing supply brand 'Hearthside Haberdashery' and designed the basics of their visual identity and logo. The candle packaging takes the form of a cube with cut-outs intended to look like windows/doors, and the safety-pins are stored in a triangular prism intended to look like a roof. The two packages were designed to co-exist and come together to create both an ornamental product and an aesthetic storage unit for additional sewing supplies. The proposal details materiality and suggests the use of soy-based inks as well as recycled card.
